<<UPDATE 5/27/08 :: I’ve been adopted into a loving home whose kitty has accepted me!>>
My name’s Amy, and I’m looking for a forever home.
I’m six years old, and because they were moving, my previous family surrendered me to Indianapolis Animal Care and Control in February. IACC doesn’t adopt out pit bulls like me, no matter how sweet we are, so it would have been certain death for me had a foster group not come along save me. Every kennel card from the various places I’ve stayed before becoming a foster dog all say the same thing: “This is a VERY sweet dog.”
If I do say so myself, I’m a laid back girl and would make a great pet! My friend Edgar the cat plays with my tail, and I couldn’t care less. I’ve met numerous dogs and loved them all. Even an old grouchy dog in my extended family who doesn’t like anyone said I’m A-okay.
If you’re looking for a running companion or a hiking partner, I’m probably not your best bet. But if you’re looking for a fellow couch potato to keep you company, I’ll be your perfect match. I do like going for a walk around the block, but prefer sidewalks to the woods. Like a lot of my friends, I also love to ride in the car, unless you insist I ride in a crate: that makes me howl! It doesn’t make me love my foster family any less, though!
If you’d love to love me the same way I’d love you, let the nice people at AAA know, or contact my foster mom!
-Amy
